In this book the Skeleton Key was written by Anthony Horowitz. Anthony Horowitz was born in London England in a wealthy Jewish family. Horowitz was an overweight, unhappy child who used or found some sort of happiness when we he wrote. (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Horowitz#Background_and_personal_life)) He enjoyed writing books and reading since he was 8. (http://www.penguin.com/author/anthony-horowitz/13533)But I'm guessing you guys are wondering what has this got t mod with the author purpose? In this case it doesn't I just wanted to re-inform you guys a little bit about his life. If you want to know more about Horowitz please select the Author Review.
To begin with, Horowitz was born in a tough time because of that touch time he was inspired to to read and write books. This he did since he was 8 this book is proof of that. His purpose for writing this book the Skeleton was to describe the trouble he went through. Trust me he went through a lot like for real example the brutality of having a mean teacher who use to beat him. He had an unhappy life where writing was all he had to make him happy( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Horowitz#Background_and_personal_life )In this books the main character Alex is being chased by a government for something he didn't mean to do. He's punished by being captured by the CIA who wants to use him for an investigation purpose.(Horowitz, Pg 1-6 chapter 1) He Wants to decline but can't. Instead he goes with their pan but eventually ends up being a bad choice because he has to learn what to do with weapons that he hardly knows about nor seen.
In chapter two the character seems to play a game which in this case brings up a game Anthony Horowitz use to play at Rugby School. (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugby_SchoolIt) Similar to the game Alex Rider plays in chapter 2. The game requires for the players to catch the ball, bounce it forward and kick it into the back of the net. (Horowitz, Page 18 ch. 2) It's similar to rugby so therefore this happens to be another similarity the author and his character share.
