To summarize this whole book of Skeleton Key from the beginning the time where Alex was playing rugby to the time where he killed a heavily armed enemy. Stay tuned.
I've to say at the beginning I thought this book was gonna be lame but in the middle of the story it got interesting. Why or How? I'll tell you. In the beginning the main character is wanted by some bad people who are potentially trying to kill him. He doesn't know that but he also has people who are trying to protect him. For example in ( Horowitz, chapter 1 pg. 15) he has the CIA agency secreting spying on him, monitoring his daily activities and who surrounds him because of that Alex runs into little threats or didn't receive any. But as the chapters progress for example in chapter 5 Alex finds out that very same people go he thought was protecting him actually ended up lying to him. (Horowitz ch. 5 pg. 78) In this very setting was when I come to feel like their was a plot twist stirring things up which made things even more interesting. Alex found out they were lying to him, lying about protecting him from the secrete organization who's trying to get at him. Instead they were planning on using him for a spy mission. ( Horowitz Ch. 5 Pg. 77) Yes a spy mission. They were planning on sending a 14 year old boy to his death. Death, because Alex has no knowledge on how to be a spy even so defend himself in such ways. In knowing this he disagreed but later on accepted the terms because it was a somewhat get away from all his problems just as the author Horowitz did when he had problems he wrote stories instead Of going away.
